Welcome to MM@S
Welcome to Midsummer Music @ Spencers 2009, our third festival of genius jazz (under a huge marquee) and family fun on a midsummer Saturday in Spencers' magical gardens.

Last year, stars such as Courtney Pine and fabulous bands such as Shakatak and the Glenn Miller Orchestra UK played and sang brilliantly for us.
MM@S 2009 has another line-up of genius talent featuring Georgie Fame and the Blue Flames with Guy Barker and Alan Skidmore, Swing Out Sister, as well as Robin Jones & King Salsa and a galaxy of other exciting bands.
Again we are delighted to support Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres. They meet a profound need and richly deserve all the help they can get.

Spencers – a magical setting
Spencers – the historic 18th century house surrounded by glorious gardens and spreading lawns – provides the perfect, informal setting for a summer music festival. The huge marquee, where the bands play, sits on one of the lawns beside house. The food stalls cluster nearby, so you can enjoy delicious eats (combined with some gentle retail therapy) whilst listening to great music either in the marquee or, in fine weather, on the terrace or the lawn, with the music wafting out of the tent.
Then there are gardens – recently featured in "The English Garden" – to stroll through, woods and parkland to explore and, for the children, a rich mixture of stimulating activities.
As the light fades the feeling changes, the atmosphere in the marquee becomes clublike, excitement builds – and the bar does a roaring trade!
