About Maggie's
MM@S supports Maggie's
A diagnosis of cancer is one of the most devastating pieces of news anyone can receive – whether it's a loved one or for yourself. This piece of news is routinely given during a 10 minute doctor appointment and after the word ‘cancer’ is mentioned, most people don't hear anything else...

Maggie's is the first step in helping people affected by cancer manage their fears at a time when they are feeling vulnerable and and anxious. Maggie's is a safe place to come to terms with a diagnosis and learn how to keep living with and beyond cancer.
People with cancer and their families and friends can drop into Maggie's for free, without an appointment and receive the support that is tailored to their individual needs. One-to-one or group support is available and the programme encourages people to find out what they can do to feel more in control of their own lives and gain the confidence to live optimistically.
